I’m Hayley –
your career
fairy godmother.
I started Your Storyline because I kept seeing brilliant, capable people struggle to talk about themselves in moments that mattered. Resumes, admissions essays, and leadership opportunities all carried the same tension.
I could see what they couldn’t: their accomplishments, unique gifts, and the small wins they had forgotten.
This is the work we’ll do together.
I help you uncover what makes you distinct and shape it into a compelling narrative so you can communicate with intention. With your new storyline, you won’t just check boxes. You’ll stand out.

Meet the Founder
Hayley Brooks | Founder, Your Storyline
I studied Creative Writing at the University of Pennsylvania, where I graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and later completed graduate-level coursework in College & Graduate School Advising at Columbia University. My background spans entertainment, journalism, personal essay writing, and public relations — places where I learned that deep, focused listening is the first requirement to crafting a compelling story.
I’m based in Memphis, Tennessee, where I have lovingly renovated a historic 100-year-old bungalow, serve as a docent at the Memphis Museum of Art, and have become a mom. Together these experiences have fundamentally changed how I see the world; they have taught me how to look, really truly look, and to then deliberately choose what matters.
