Hi, I’m Hayley.
I’m a people person.

My Story

I built Your Storyline around one simple truth:  it’s hard to talk about yourself.

I work with people and organizations to help them articulate who they are — on the page, in conversation, and in the moments that matter. Sometimes that looks like one-on-one work with a client; other times, it means partnering with a founder-led company, creative studio, non-profit, or even Spotify. In every case, the goal stays the same: to bring your best to the surface and shape it into language that feels authentic, directed and resonant.

I studied Creative Writing at the University of Pennsylvania, where I graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and later completed graduate-level coursework in College & Graduate School Advising at Columbia University. My background spans entertainment, journalism, personal essay writing, and public relations — places where I learned that deep, focused listening is the first requirement to crafting a compelling story.

I’m based in Memphis, Tennessee, where I have lovingly renovated a historic 100-year-old bungalow, serve as a docent at the Memphis Museum of Art, and have become a mom. Together these experiences have fundamentally changed how I see the world; they have taught me how to look, really truly look, and to then deliberately choose what matters.
